I have had great mentors and have learned a few things through three decades in corporate and agency executive positions, promoting transparency, ethics and clarity in how corporate entities speak to their audiences. Interacting with the media, providing effective testimony, figuring out the best way to present information to interested parties, effective writing and speaking, understanding the broader cultural and community context in which advocating for issues takes place.
